Smartphone
maker HTC is entering the 'phablet' market by launching a supersized edition of
its award-winning HTC One handset.
Photos
of this device has been revealed in recent weeks, but now the under pressure
Taiwanese company, has confirmed its existence with a listing on its websites.
Also a
Finger print sensor to unlock the device, is a new addition to the Max model.
The HTC One Max comes with a 5.9-inch screen and shares the same
much-praised metallic design as its 4.7-inch stablemate.
The feature recently debuted
on the Apple’s Iphone 5S, but HTC has positioned it on the back of the phone
instead of the front.
The Max also has expandable memory - a glaring omission on
previous HTC devices - and includes space for a 64 gigabyte SD card.
The size of the device pitches
it against the likes of Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 and the upcoming Sony Xperia Z
Ultra in the growing 'phablet' category - the sector between a smartphone and a
full-sized tablet.
It comes with a very powerful 3300mAh
battery and runs the same 1.7 GHz snapdragon processor as the original HTC one
The company is now valued at about $3.7bn (£2.3bn), according to
Bloomberg, compared with $37bn (£23bn) at its peak.
We now see that with no doubt,
that the HTC one Max is a cool device and a must use.
The official unveiling of the
HTC One Max is expected in the coming days.
